Finding Jobs in London, UK
London is known for its history that makes it more attractive for tourists. In addition, London’s growing economy attracts large numbers of Multi National Enterprises (MNEs) to invest in London. This creates a number of London jobs, another attraction for visitors.
The majority of jobs in London can be divided in 3 categories:
- Executive Level Jobs
- Middle Level Jobs
- Labour Class Jobs
Mostly students and/or outlandish peoples, like those from Asia, Africa and the Middle-East, are hired at the labour class. More educated and technically skilled employees come from Australia, USA or the European Union countries, working at the middle and executive level jobs.
As London is one of the most economic cities across the world, most of the MNEs have their subsidiaries working in it. Now a day, the booming job culture in London comprises call-centers, private cab services, and transport of goods and services.
Call centers of the MNEs are customer services centers for their existing and new customers. Most of the MNEs are switching to the concept of Virtual Store Front. To facilitate these store fronts, they are providing a back up of call centers for answering queries of the customers and helping them with their problems. They contact the customers via call centres and provide them with the information regarding their new packages.
People of age 20 to 45 years are the most frequent seekers of such kinds of jobs in London, which obviously need a lot of stamina for sitting in one place and dealing with customers on phone. Customer services centers provide good pay rate along with other benefits. Jobs in these centers are mostly commission based. So the way it works is do well and get well!
Customer services centers also provide a good opportunity to develop and grow in a particular position e.g. an HR manager, an out-bound customer services manager, an in-bound customer service manager etc. Students or fresh graduates, mostly European or UK citizens, are the ideal candidates for these kinds of jobs.
People above the age of 40 mostly prefer London jobs that are more comfortable or less stressful; i.e. they do not feel bound to anyone for time strictness and pay rate. Many young people too, who are not in favour of tax deduction from their salaries, prefer such kinds of London jobs. They would like to keep working as a company’s cab drivers or as a private car driver. As London gets a substantial part of its economy from the tourism industry, cab business is one of the high-return businesses and one can earn around 200-300 pounds daily, without tax deduction. Older peoples from UK, Europe, Middle-east, and Asia like to do this work.
Transportation of goods and services is a type of job, unlike accounting jobs in the UK that attracts many young people who are energetic and strong, and are always ready to work as transporters. Since UK is an island, it connects with most of the countries and continents via sea-ports and delivers goods and services locally via road. People who like to run their own businesses frequently turn to transport businesses, which are easy to maintain and cheap to run. Their high rate of income and exclusion from tax deduction make them handsome jobs. Also, there is no restriction to register themselves with the government or council.
